This book has a good balance of quantitative problems and conceptual questions. Using this book helped my students prepare for the exam. Great book to prepare for the AP chemistry exam. Questions and explanations are excellent and targeted for the actual exam. Use this book to prep for the AP chemistry exam. Unlike other AP chemistry prep books, no full length practice tests are included. In addition, the explanations for some of the answers are minimal at best. What I found was several questions regarding oxidizing and reducing agents —terms that are no longer tested on AP exam. Questions that are so simple I could give them to physical science students. And repetitive, it is like they took 5 types of questions and recycled them. They had NO particulate level drawings of stoichiometry concepts—huge on exam. They had a mix of terms—referring to the “molecular” mass of a formula unit—not really possible. This book may be a nice test bank for general high school chemistry—but it will not help on the AP Exam. ( Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2021 )

The questions are not repetitive and range from easier ones to more difficult and complex. I highly recommend this book for learning chemistry. There is no substitute for solving practice questions and then comparing answers with the detailed explanations. The content is great to reinforce learning. Glad I used this product. I have recommended this book to several students as I know it will be great practice and give them an edge on the AP exam.
